How Prophecy works
From your pick to your payout in four steps, the rooms, and the beta.
Four steps#
- Pick. A game puts tickers in a short race: two in a Ticker Battle, four in a Market Royale, or one ticker two ways in Up or Down. You pick who you think finishes ahead.
- Your payout locks. Before you're in, you see exactly what a win pays. The moment you're in, it's fixed, and the money to pay it is set aside before the race starts.
- Lights out. Picks close just before the start, and the race runs on live prices, second by second.
- The result. The biggest move from start to finish wins. Win, and you're paid what you were shown. A dead heat or a finish too close to call is called off: your money back, fee too.
A losing pick gets $0. There's nothing else to lose: no leverage, no liquidation, and nothing owed after a race.
Go deeper#
- The gamesEach game, and what a first pick pays.
- Prices and payoutsHow prices move, and the money behind every payout.
- SettlementHow a race is decided, and how to check any result.
- FeesEvery fee, and when it comes back.
The rooms#
Every game runs in one of three rooms, each with its own tickers, stakes and pace.
- The floor: the majors and stock perpetuals.
- High roller: bigger stakes, longer races, and index and commodity perpetuals too.
- The meme room: memes only.
Today: the testnet beta#
Everything on the beta is played with test money on a test network. Test money is free in the arena and has no value. Log in with an email, a social account or a wallet. There's no gas to pay and no network to switch.
Real money comes with mainnet.
